Spice up your Professional Life? Create fun workstations!

Just when you thought that working at home is your cup of tea; you realize that it takes more than just tea bags to get you started. Okay, bad analogy, but important point; freelancers! You need to have a place dedicated to your work. Most freelancers prefer to work from their comfort zone instead of trying to get their creativity clicking at a 9-5 desk. Home needs to be more of a workstation where you will work. This is where creativity can flow seamlessly and you can give yourself completely over to the task at hand. But wait, how do you carve a workspace out of the blue?

Here are some comfy, efficient yet petite home offices to help you work! Look. Smile. Inspire.

1.The Bedroom Bing

When I say comfortable and homely; a place that is just perfect to test your productivity- its the bedroom. There is always that godly feeling of being relaxed which if channeled through a small desk can do wonders to your work!

2.That little haven of cozy

Sometimes when the world is a big place all you really desire is a small place in it, where you can simply be who you want to be. In a small nook you can build just the little world where you win your battles (with your work) with panache!

3. It’s elementary, my dear Watson!

For anyone who needs to make it work in the intellectual or literary department; don’t head-dive in a library! Instead create an ambience that makes you feel like you are in one! You may own from just a series of hardbound encyclopaedia or a bazillion classics. Put whatever you have in bookshelves, surround yourself with it, find a comfy couch, a coffee table and voila you have the perfect workstation!

4. May the light guide your paths

Sunlight is and will be the best gift bestowed to mankind. Select a window that streams in all the sunlight and rejuvenates you with it, and build an amazing workspace around it.

5. Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof

It’s not literally a room without a roof, chill! Here is one for all you music lovers, because you gotta do what you want to do, with the bass turned right up! Sometimes that is the best way to think! “Because I’m happy…” And that’s how you want to feel in your own home office.

6.The room under the roof

Alright even Ruskin Bond, started off with the trees touching his window ledge! This is where you will feel tucked in your tree house where you and your head can be motivated oodles by the serenity of nature!

7. Head off to Narnia folks!

The perfect escape is when you can just open that alma rah and step into the world of work when you want to. And when you are done, you can just close it and set it aside. Different work, different worlds altogether! Here are two adorable closet offices.

8. Natural Selection

You may not admit it, but sometimes being inside the house is really distracting. There is tons of other work to do and you are bound to get occupied with your ideas running dry in a while. You can have a separate little “box” closer to your garden or a few trees where working on your tasks is all you can do. And the only thing to distract you there is the awe-inspiring nature.

9. Camping while working

This is taking your workstation along like a RV. You can camp in the middle of lush greens (as much as you can find those, that is) and work away from home; just in the middle of a slight breeze in the green embrace!

10. Living under the stairs

If you are not Harry Potter then this should not haunt you at all! In fact working in a place aloof from noise and distraction is perfect for my productivity. Take a leaf from JK Rowling and do consider this spot of solitude to work.
